Local Data Storage
Waypoint is designed with privacy as a core principle. All navigation data, including routes, waypoints, and voyage logs, are stored locally on your device by default.
We do not transmit your navigation data to any servers without your explicit consent. If you enable cloud sync, your data is encrypted and stored securely with Supabase.
Location Data
Waypoint uses your device's GPS to provide live position tracking during voyages. This location data is used only within the app for navigation purposes and is not transmitted externally unless you enable cloud sync.
You can control location access through your device's privacy settings. Location data is stored locally in your voyage logs if you choose to record them.
